If your kids love the film Despicable Me then there is now only one place to stay when you are visiting Orlando – the Loews Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal.
The hotel has just unveiled 18 two-room suites themed around the film, starring super-villain Gru and his loveable Minions, timed to coincide with the release of the sequel to one of the most popular animated films of all time (it took more than half a billion dollars at the box office).
The rooms have custom-made missile beds for the kids, like those used by Margo, Edith and Agnes in the film, but more traditional ones for the parents as well as Minion wallpaper and other touches that kids will recognise from the film. During school holidays, the suites cost from around $520 per night plus taxes.
